DRIVETRIBE: But what exactly can we expect from DiRT 4 later this year? Well the following to be precise.
5 INCREDIBLE RALLY LOCATIONS WITH MILLIONS OF ROUTES
In DiRT 4 you'll be visiting the scenic locations of Australia, Spain, Michigan, the snowy tracks of Sweden and muddy wet roads of Wales. Unlike previous DiRT games, we will be getting a track generator called "Your Stage" which consists of a potentially infinite amount of stages so you'll never play the same stage twice (Unless of course, you use the new ability to save and share a track that you like with your friends and the community)
However, we won't be getting real world stages in DiRT 4 unlike its previous successor, DiRT Rally due to licencing (damn you real world rules) but this most likely shouldn't impact the game due to the fantastic replayability of the new stage generator.
TUNING
In DiRT 4 you'll be able to Tweak your set-up based on vehicle, track and weather conditions to best suit your racing style. This has always been present in the well-known series, but DiRT 4 brings it to that whole new level of customizability.
What does this mean for gameplay? Well for starters you'll be able to fine tune your car to exactly how you want it to be, enabling a deeper level of enjoyment from the car.
DAMAGE & REPAIRS
Wear and tear from the unforgiving terrain of a rally stage is faithfully recreated with an improved and realistic damage model. Damage can be repaired by hiring Engineers to work in the team’s Service Area between stages but with a finite amount of time available. So make sure you are tackle with exactly what you repair throughout the events!
Admittedly, we'll probably be using the time to repair vehicles rather a lot...
THE OFFICIAL GAME OF THE FIA WORLD RALLYCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
Race at Montalegre, Lohéac Bretagne, Hell, Holjes & Lydden Hill in a multitude of different series. This a welcome addition to the taste we got will DiRT rally's RX championships. It also brings the addition of the long awaited 2016 RX cars.
This also opens up oppertunities for communities to make their own tournaments and events in multiplayer for users to takepart in! (We're totally not hinting anything here).
LANDRUSH
We will also be seeing the return of Landrush in DiRT 4. Short-course dirt track racing in Pro Buggies, Pro-2 Trucks, Pro-4 Trucks and Crosskart vehicles in California, Nevada and Mexico. Needless to say, we look forward to the wheel to wheel racing this will offer in multiplayer events!
We think it's great seeing the return of landrush. It's a welcome sight to sore eyes after you've been dominating (or not in our case) rally championships and just want to have some fun and throw around massive trucks and buggies.
JOYRIDE
Joyride will also be returning to the franchise in DiRT 4, but with a twist.
Not only will joyride offer a place to throw around your car and have a break from the intense high-octane racing of career and multiplayer, it also offers a place for you to further develop your skills offering a wide range of opportunity to learn different styles of events and skills. Laptime challenges, smash challenges, free-play area and send challenges to friends.
DIRT ACADEMY
Like mentioned above, DiRT 4 features a location just for you to throw around and learn a car. Taking place at the DirtFish Rally School in Washington, USA, learn the skills, techniques and practice to become the best!
Check out SlapTrain's early access preview of this awesome area.

Of course, it wouldn't be a DiRT game without a high adrenaline career mode, right? Well DiRT 4 is bringing back a full career mode for you to slide into (sorry not sorry).
Create your driver, compete across the disciplines, gain sponsors and build your team with clear goals and rewards.
