Spider-Sense And More - This AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Footage Description Will Blow Your Mind
We’ll learn more about Thor and the Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok, but the Infinity War trailer opened with the Asgardian being flung against the windshield of the Milano, the ship commanded by Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) from Guardians of the Galaxy. “Get it off!” shouts Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper), as though a particularly ugly bug had been smushed there.

Mantis (Pom Klementieff) brings Thor back to life, and he promptly greets out Guardians with an unfriendly, “Who the hell are you?” (To be fair, Star-Lord had just told his fellow Guardians, “This might be dangerous, so let’s put on our mean faces.”) It then seems like Thor joins forces with the Guardians to guide them to Earth, where we see the following things go down, in quick succession:

Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) seems to cut a flaming car in half. It looks like her beau Vision (Paul Bethany) might be trapped nearby, and to judge from their faces, something sad and bad is going down.

“Death follows him like a shadow,” we hear, as Josh Brolin’s ultimate villain Thanos is teased.

Suddenly, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki appears, cutting through flaming wreckage to grab the Tesseract, which holds one of the Infinity Stones. Is this what Scarlet Witch and Vision were trying to prevent?

Next, there’s a glimpse of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker on his school bus. The hair on his arms stands up. How’s that for some trouble-activated spider-sense?

“He’s come to us,” someone says, as some alien ships crash land on a wrecked Earth. A worried Mantis stands with Iron Man, Thor, Doctor Strange, the Hulk, and the other heroes as the aircrafts approach.

“This does put a smile on my face,” intones Thanos, as Gamora (Zoe Saldana) takes in the wreckage of the room kept by the Collector (Benicio del Toro). More Infinity Stones pillaged.

And that’s when Thanos walks through a portal onto Earth — big and hulking and boasting a shit-eating grin. Star-Lord and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) leap into action, harnessing magic and airborne stepping stones. Even Spider-Man swings into action, wearing a cool new suit … perhaps the one teased at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming?

Briefly, we see Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), who’s blond now, and Captain America, who’s bearded. Listen, I know the fate of the universe is at stake, but don’t we all feel a little refreshed after spending valuable time on an undercover makeover? Talk to Wonder Woman about that, she knows what’s up.

In the final moments, things get truly heightened. Thanos grabs Thor’s head in his meaty paw and regards it like a grape he’s about to smush. Maybe he saw that scary black-and-white episode of Twin Peaks and wants to practice storming radio stations and breaking open heads?

“You can run from it,” growls Thanos, “but your destiny still arrives.” And then he holds up one hand and seemingly destroys a planet far away in the sky — or, if this scene is taking place on Earth, our freaking moon — and heaves the remains of it at our Avengers in a single shot.

Mark Ruffalo Says A Solo HULK Movie Will Never Happen But Kevin Feige May Have Other Ideas
Variety caught up with Mark Ruffalo following Disney's live-action panel at D23 on Saturday and asked the actor about the possibility of playing The Hulk in a solo movie. Now, we've known for a while now that the rights to the Jade Giant are somehow caught up at Universal Pictures and that the character can only appear in Marvel Studios movies like Thor: Ragnarok providing it's as a supporting character.

"I wanna make just one thing perfectly clear today, a standalone Hulk movie will never happen," he says in the video below with a sly smile on his face. Asked why, he added: "For some reason they don't know how to play well with Marvel," and "because they don't want to make money," referring to Universal, who holds the rights to a Hulk standalone film. However, is he being entirely honest?

Probably, because it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for Ruffalo to throw Universal under the bus if they're secretly working with Marvel on a Hulk movie, but in the second video interview below, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige says "never say never" when it comes to the movie becoming a reality, so we'll have to wait and see! What do you guys think? Share your thoughts in the usual place.

Could The FANTASTIC FOUR Return To Marvel Studios? Kevin Feige Provides An Answer
image.jpg

When Marvel Studios put up four mystery statues at D23 this week, many fans wondered if they were about to unveil the costumes that would be worn by an all-new Fantastic Four. After all, the 2015 reboot starring the iconic heroes was a complete and utter flop, so Twentieth Century Fox giving up on the property would make sense. Well, guess again because they're holding on to them for dear life!

"I’ve been at Marvel for 17 years," Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said, pausing for a moment before confirming that the foursome definitely won't be joining the ranks of the Marvel Cinematic Universe at any time in the near future. "There are certainly no plans whatsoever for that. But too many amazing things have happened over the past 17 years for me ever say never. But for now, nothing." That's about as definitive as you can get but don't fret too much as there may be hope yet.

"There’s a chance that aliens could come down from the sky right now," Feige countered. "And we’ll use them in the movie in to save money on visual effects." Er, perhaps it is time to give up hope!

Rumour has it that Fox is working on a family orientated Fantastic Four movie which will take place from the perspective of Franklin and Valeria Richards so a Marvel Studios reboot is probably out of the question. Stranger things have definitely happened, though, so perhaps we'd best just wait and see.

Marvel's SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Sequel Has Found A Director
Jon Watts successfully relaunched the Spider-Man franchise with Spider-Man: Homecoming so it should come as no surprise to learn that he's officially in talks with Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures to take the helm of the currently untitled follow-up. That's set to be released on July 5th, 2019, and it will obviously feature Tom Holland returning as Peter Parker for another year of high school misadventures.

As of right now, Spider-Man: Homecoming has earned $468.3 million worldwide in just two weeks and the reviews hailed it as perhaps one of Marvel's best movies to date. Watts can be thanked for that as his direction provided a fresh new take on the wall-crawler while also making comic book fans happy.

The untitled Spider-Man sequel will pick up after the events of Avengers: Infinity War and that could mean Peter will be rocking a fancy new suit (unless it's destroyed in the battle against Thanos).

How do you guys feel about Watts returning to direct the movie? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on this news in the comments section and stay tuned for more Spider-Man updates!

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Nearly Ended With A Twist CIVIL WAR Fans Will Appreciate
Spider-Man: Homecoming ends with Peter Parker turning down Tony Stark's offer to join The Avengers and be introduced to the world as a new member of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in front of the press.

However, that moment very nearly played out very differently as screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have revealed that the scene initially presented Peter not just introducing Spider-Man to the world but unmasking and revealing his secret identity just like his comic book counterpart on the final page of Civil War #2. That would have obviously changed his status quo in a massive way!

"That scene with the press behind the door, that started off as a more clear opportunity for Peter to say to the world, 'I Peter Parker, am Spider-Man,'" Goldstein explained. "And he decides not to do it and walks away. It’s still that, but it had been set up that if he could just tell the world who he is, he would get all his problems solved and be loved by everyone." Daley adds: "What he realizes is that there is a virtue in being a secret identity and how he kind of has the advantage in many ways over his other superhero buddies." That sounds just like the Spidey we know and love from the comics!

While it would have been interesting to see Peter contemplate unmasking, keeping his identity a secret makes a lot more sense and it will be fun seeing how he interacts with Aunt May moving forward now she knows. What do you guys think? As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

Marvel's RUNWAYS Gets An Official Premiere Date, And It's A Lot Earlier Than Anyone Expected
We recently got a first look at a new trailer for Marvel and Hulu's Runaways, and now it's been officially announced that the show will premiere on November 21.

Up until now we didn't really have an ETA for the series, but it was generally assumed that it wouldn't be with us until next year, so this is a nice surprise.

Adapted from the Marvel Comic Book by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona, Runaways tells the story of six diverse teenagers with special abilities who can barely stand each other, but who must put their differences aside to unite against a common foe – their supervillain parents.

Parece bem ruim.

Peter Sciretta, editor do site /Film disse o seguinte:

“Uau.

DOCTOR DOOM Solo Movie In Development At 20th Century Fox With LEGION Creator Noah Hawley
152647.jpg

There's not a whole lot to go on just yet, but it seems that Legion and Fargo creator Noah Hawley is developing a movie at 20th Century Fox involving Fantastic Fourvillain, Doctor Doom.

Right at the end of tonight's San Diego Comic-Con panel for Legion, Hawley announced that he was working on a new project, which he would only give a brief, but very telling hint about: “I’ll just say two words. The first one is Doctor and the next one is Doom,” he said.

According to THR, Hawley is writing the script with an eye to directing it himself.

It seems this all came about when the studio was unsure how to proceed after Josh Trank's disastrous 2015 Fantastic Four film, and rather than reboot the property again, they decided to focus on the fan-favourite antagonist. The spin-offs may not stop with Doom, either, because rumor has it Seth Grahame-Smith is working on a movie featuring Franklin Richards, the son of Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Girl.

We'll update as soon as we find out more about this, but for now be sure to let us know what you think of this news in the comments section.

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Unused Concept Art Reveals Which Other AVENGERS Almost Appeared In The Movie
We had already heard that Iron Man was originally going to be joined by another couple of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and the unused concept art below confirms which characters almost made an appearance in the reboot.

As you can see, at one point both War Machine and Vision were going to help Stark rescue the people on the Staten Island Ferry after Spidey inadvertently split it in two. We'd previously been led to believe that these guys were only present in a very early draft of the script, but the fact that they made it to the concept design stage seems to suggest that they were included in a more recent version of the film.

Tell us, would you liked to have seen Rhodey and Vision pop up in Spider-Man: Homecoming, or was Iron Man more than enough? Sound off below.

IRON FIST Sets SLEEPY HOLLOW And FALLING SKIES' Raven Metzner As Showrunner For Season 2
finn-jones-iron-fist-netflix.jpg

While not a surprise by any means, Marvel and Netflix have announced that Raven Metzner (Sleepy Hollow, Falling Skies) will be taking over as showrunner for Iron Fist's recently confirmed second season. The announcement follows a very rough critical ride for the first season of the show, and with showrunner Scott Buck coming under fire for the program along with his other upcoming Marvel venture, Inhumans, it seems a change of pace was necessary.

Marvel TV executive Jeph Loeb confirmed the news to Entertainment Weekly, citing Metzner's love for the character and his knowledge of martial arts films as the perfect elements to have him helm the show. “Raven’s love of all things Iron Fist and his extensive knowledge of martial arts films made him the perfect choice to continue telling the adventures of Danny Rand and Colleen Wing,” he said. “Season One and The Defenders are only the beginning of this fantastic action packed tale.”

This won't be Metzner's first Marvel-related project; he also served as co-writer for the Daredevil spin-off film, Elektra, which starred Jennifer Garner. Metzner was also a consulting producer on NBC's Heroes Reborn, and co-creating the ABC drama Six Degrees.
