SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Will Be The First Film In A New Spidey Trilogy According To Star Tom Holland
Several people involved with bringing
Spider-Man: Homecoming to the screen have already indicated that we'd be getting one more solo Spidey adventure at some point, but it sounds like Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures actually have plans in place for a trilogy.
During an interview with French site
Allocine, Peter Parker actor Tom Holland appeared to let slip that there is indeed a third installment on the radar:
“There is still plenty of room to see Peter grow up Parker and especially
Spider-Man in the next two movies, and at the end of
Spider-Man: Homecoming, the story is definitely not complete, I’m really looking forward to exploring how it will grow, [and to] see what will happen after puberty. Yes, [they’re] going to be exciting movies.”
Just to be certain, the site asked Holland to clarify his words, to which he responded:
“Yes, there will be Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming 3. Now, you know, sorry, Marvel, oops!"
Though this has obviously yet to be made official, Holland's comments do seem like pretty solid confirmation.
Not a huge surprise, perhaps, but there was always the possibility that the deal between Marvel and Sony was only going to allow for two solo movies, so it's nice to know for sure that this won't be the case.

Is GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Director James Gunn Teasing The Introduction Of Quasar?
We know that Adam Warlock is most likely going to be introduced in
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but is there a chance Quasar will be joining him?
Director James Gunn Tweeted the image below, which has led to speculation that the script he's currently writing for the third film will feature an incarnation of the space-faring Marvel hero. Of course, Gunn could just be having some fun, or perhaps he did simply get a bit nostalgic about his family's antique VCR.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Fiege Now Says That R-Rated MCU Movies Are "Not Out Of The Question"
After the box office dominance of
Deadpool,
Kevin Feige was asked on numerous occasions if he'd ever consider taking the Marvel Cinematic Universe into R-rated territory. Feige
always stated that there had been no discussions about this, and it wasn't something he felt would ultimately benefit the studio or its fans.
However, is it possible that
after Logan enjoyed similar critical and commercial success that he's begun to rethink his stance?
During an interview with
Allocine, Feige was once again asked about the possibility of an R-rated Marvel movie, and although he does reaffirm that there are no current plans in place, his response definitely seems less definitive than usual:
"Currently we don’t work on R-Rated movies, it’s not out of the question but currently, no."
Obviously this shouldn't be taken as an indication that Marvel is going to start working on a series of R-rated projects any time soon, but it does sound like it's something Feige and co. would consider, at least.
The question is, which characters under the MCU umbrella would benefit from an R-rated big-screen outing? Sound off in the usual place!
