Assisti a Batwoman.

Assistir o BatWoman, e achei bem pobre.

The CW’s Batwoman Premiere Viewership Way Down Compared to Flash and Arrow

2019.10.09-06.44-boundingintocomics-5d9e2aa6d3707.png

The CW’s Batwoman premiere had significantly less viewership than the respective premieres of other CW shows like Flash and Arrow.

According to TV Line, Batwoman premiered to an audience of 1.8 million total viewers. Interestingly enough, the spin on the numbers was that this was good. TV Line reported these numbers were “up 20 percent in audience from Supergirl’s year-ago season opener in the time slot, while steady in the demo.”

However, if you actually compare the show’s premiere to the premiere of other CW superhero shows like Arrow and Flash, those numbers don’t really look that good.

The Flash’s Season 1 premiere in 2014 saw 4.83 million viewers tune in. Arrow’s Season 1 premiere in 2012 saw 4.14 million total viewers.

Black Lightning’s Season 1 premiere also beat Batwoman with 2.305 million total viewers.

Supergirl’s Season 2 premiere on The CW, saw 3.063 million viewers. The first season aired on CBS and the premiere saw 12.955 million total viewers.

Legends of Tomorrow also aired with 3.214 million total viewers for its first episode.

That makes Batwoman the worst Arrowverse superhero premiere on The CW ever. Even looking at TVLine’s spin, it’s not very good. The premiere of a brand new superhero show only did 20% better than Supergirl in Season 4!

Nerdrotic’s Gary Buechler discusses this as well:

Now, The CW did air an encore of Batwoman that saw 1.1 million total viewers watch it. If we assume these are all new viewers that means the total viewers would be 2.9 million between the two shows. That’s still worse than every single superhero premiere on The CW except for Black Lightning.

It’s more than likely the show’s audience will contract moving forward. By the season 1 finale of Legends of Tomorrow the total audience was down to 1.85 million, Flash was down to 3.869 million, Arrow was down to 2.77 million, Supergirl’s season 2 finale was down to 2.12 million, and Black Lightning was down to 1.678 million.

The show’s probably not in line for getting cancelled after it’s first season looking purely at the numbers. The CW cancelled iZombie after its fifth season with an average audience per episode of 654,000 folks.

What do you make of Batwoman’s premiere numbers? Do you see this series having any legs on The CW?

Tom Ellis Reportedly Spotted as Lucifer on Crisis on Infinite Earths Set

News of the epic Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover from DC, The CW, and Warner Bros. TV continues to pour in and promises to be packed with stars ranging from the Arrowverse all the way back to the classic Batman TV series from the 1960s. The latest name to pop up in the rumor miss is Tom Ellis, who plays Lucifer Morningstar on the hit show Lucifer, which spent its first few seasons on Fox before moving over to Netflix. According to @canadagraphs, Ellis was recently spotted on the set.

“There was a scene with at least 4 actors tonight at the set. David Ramsey, Katherine McNamara and Matt Ryan.... no surprises there. They did a scene with Tom Ellis dressed like Lucifer Morningstar. Yes, you read that correct. #CrisisOnInfiniteEarths,” @canadagraphs wrote.

In the comics, Crisis on Infinite Earths centered on a battle between the combined superheroes (and even some villains) of the DC multiverse and an immortal, cosmic threat known as the Anti-Monitor. Like The Monitor, the Anti-Monitor will be played by LaMonica Garrett in the Arrowverse. As the Anti-Monitor destroys realities, he replaces their positive matter energy with antimatter, growing his own power and sphere of influence. He was eventually stopped by the sacrifices of several heroes, including The Flash and Supergirl, as well as the merging of multiple universes to save reality by becoming a single, unified timeline. Fans have long wondered whether the events of "Crisis on Infinite Earths" might bring Supergirl and even Black Lightning to Earth-1, where the rest of the series take place. The crossover will also feature guest appearances by Tom Welling as Clark Kent, Erica Durance as Lois Lane, John Wesley Shipp as the Flash of Earth-90, Johnathon Schaech as Jonah Hex, Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne, and Ashley Scott as The Huntress.

“Crisis on Infinite Earths” kicks off on Sunday, December 8 on Supergirl, runs through a Monday episode of Batwoman and that Tuesday’s episode of The Flash. That will be the midseason cliffhanger, as the shows go on hiatus for the holidays and return on January 14 to finish out the event with the midseason premiere of Arrow and a "special episode" of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, which launches as a midseason series this year and so will not have an episode on the air before the Crisis.

Saber disso me deixa triste.

Batman ‘89 Movie Confirmed for Crisis, Robert Wuhl Reportedly Returns as Alexander Knox

The CW's upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" is gearing up to be not just the biggest event in the Arrowverse's history, but one of the biggest events in the entire live-action DC Universe. With the epic crossover currently in production in Vancouver, every day seems to bring news of another new, exciting appearance from actors reprising their role from another pocket of the expansive DC universe. Last week, it was a look at Burt Ward, the actor who played Robin in the original Batman television series with the late Adam West. Yesterday, it was a spotting of Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar. Now, however, may be one of the most exciting teases of all: Batman '89 will make an appearance in "Crisis" with Robert Wuhl making an appearance.

According to Canadagraphs (via Batman News), Wuhl may be reprising his role as Alexander Knox from the 1989 Michael Keaton Batman movie. The scene Wuhl was spotted filming has the actor sitting on a bench simply reading a newspaper until something happens in the sky that gets his attention. Having Wuhl's Alexander Knox -- assuming that is the character Wuhl is playing -- read a newspaper is very fitting considering that in Batman, the character was a reporter at the Gotham Globe who not only worked with Vicki Vale (Kim Basinger) but inadvertently helped Vicki figure out Bruce Wayne's identity as Batman.

The idea that Wuhl's character is reading a newspaper in his scene is interesting for another reason as well, one that further establishes the Batman universe as Earth 89. Batman News also reported last week that a prop newspaper on set was spotted that revealed a photo of Keaton's Bruce Wayne with the headline "WayneTech CEO - Bruce Wayne to Marry Socialite Selina Kyle". It's possible that that is the headline Wuhl's character is reading. However the newspaper factors in, it along with Wuhl's appearance further expands the Arrowverse's Multiverse much in the way that the appearance of Earth-90 in last year's "Elseworlds" did.

And the Multiverse is turning out to be an expansive and exciting place for fans of DC, The CW, and Warner Bros. It's already been confirmed that "Crisis on Infinite Earths" will feature guest appearances by Smallville stars Tom Welling as Clark Kent and Erica Durance as Lois Lane, Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne, Ashley Scott as Huntress, the return of John Wesley Shipp likely as some version of The Flash, as well as Jonathon Schaech as Jonah Hex in addition to Brandon Routh suiting up as Kingdom Come Superman and Black Lightning star Cress Williams bringing his hero into the Arrowverse for the very first time.

Are you excited about Batman '89 getting a place in "Crisis on Infinite Earths"? Let us know in the comments below!

Justin Hartley é complicado porque certamente deve estar gravando This is Us.
