Romaji Lyrics:
Game Over, dare mo nozomanai (nozomanai)
Take Over, make wa mitomenai (mitomenai)

Why? Naze itsumo surinukete ku chikai yōde tōi
Korosa re kaketa yume o kirai ni narenai ichizuna norainu

English Translation:
Game Over, no one wants it (don’t want)
Take Over, won’t admit defeat (won’t admit)

Blow it away, fucking passion, stylish festival, at the top number one
Give it your all, splendid life, starting from beginning, Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah

Why? Why always slipping through, faraway seems close
Almost being killed in dream, but I don’t hate it, a straightforward stray dog

Never before been so low, completely at the start like when I was young
Carrying nothing and heading to the Big City, a future without outline

Blow it away, fucking passion, stylish festival, at the top number one
Give it your all, splendid life, starting from beginning, Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah

Those guys who don’t say a thing are only kept quiet
A seesaw of these uneasy uncontrolled nerves, drinking sake and taking narcs

Scum are first to overthrow, justice is sometimes heartless
Knife in hand, writhing in agony, cut through a new age

Blow it away, fucking passion, stylish festival, at the top number one
Give it your all, splendid life, starting from beginning, Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah

A scenario sunk in despair, to an age of madness blooming in darkness, Fly
Soaring up to the shining future, to the day it becomes legend

However many times I’m told to die, I won’t drop dead, at the top number one
Stand and face forward with belief, from this place right now

Even the fucking lame, don’t have anything but courage are fine
Give it your all, splendid life, starting from beginning, Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah

Yakuza: Like a Dragon details Sotenbori Battle Arena, dungeons
Kasuga and company go underground.
Sal Romano Jan 8, 2020

Sega has released new information and screenshots for Yakuza: Like a Dragon introducing the Sotenbori Battle Arena and dungeons.
Get the details below.
■ Sotenbori Battle Arena
“Sotenbori Battle Arena” is an underground battle event being held at an under construction building in Sotenbori, Osaka. At the Sotenbori Battle Arena, you will fight strong enemies prepared by the event’s administrator. You will start from the first floor and aim for the top floor, the 30th floor. You will not be able to proceed to the next floor without defeating the strong enemies that await on the current floor.
Unlike standard battles in town, there are various special rules, such as “always receiving poison damage,” and many special combinations of enemies.
Also, in addition to the rewards you receive at the battle results, it is possible to receive Sotenbori Battle Arena-unique rewards such as the “standard rewards” that can be obtained only once per floor completion, and “additional rewards” that can be obtained many times over by clearing the specified conditions.
Also since it is a place full of strong enemies, it is optimal for leveling up. Since you can obtain rare items such as powerful equipment and materials as rewards, you should take advantage of the battle arena for training protagonist Ichiban Kasuga and company.
—Yappie-kun is the receptionist of the Sotenbori Battle Arena. With the favorite phrase “yappie!,” it seems to be a robot installed for customer service in various shops.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

—On the battle information screen, you can check the battle’s special rules, enemy strength, and rewards. The enemies and rules differ for each floor.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

—You can fight against strong enemies that you rarely meet in the city. These fights are perfect for testing your abilities and leveling up.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

■ Dungeons
As you progress through the story, Kasuga and company will use underground passages to move to the headquarters of enemy organizations. However, these underground passages are dangerous “dungeons” that are extremely lacking in security and a nest for strong enemies that do not appear on the surface.
After clearing events with enemy organizations, you can use a dungeon at any time to efficiently level up your characters, as well as collect weapons, armor, and materials. Since the contents of the attache cases commonly found in dungeons are random, you will always be able to obtain a variety of items each time you visit.
—Underground passages have a dangerous atmosphere and are dotted with piles of trash and homeless houses.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

—Kasuga and company explore a dungeons. Dungeons are extremely vast. Be careful as you never know what kind of enemies await you.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Traits of the Enemies in the Dungeon
When you make your way into an enemy organization, enemies associated with that organization will appear in the dungeon. At other times, many rare and unique strong enemies that are hard to encounter in the city will appear, such as degenerates and escaped prisoners.
—Masked men await in the dungeon. What kind of enemies can you expect to encounter?
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

—Many unique strong enemies hard to encounter on the surface will appear, including hospital patients.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Items Obtainable in Dungeons
“Safes” and “attache cases” are commonly found in dungeons, which contain various items and equipment.
Attache cases have one item, and its contents are different each time. The most common items are health recovery items, but sometimes
rare EXP boost items can be found as well, so make sure to collect them when you find them.
Safes require keys to open, but contain more and rarer items than attache cases. Powerful equipment that cannot be found in shops can be found inside these safes, so keep an eye out for where they are. There are also gold safes and silver safes, with gold safes containing better items.
Other than the safes and attache cases, many materials required to create new weapons and armor can be found inside the dungeon. There may be strong enemies in dungeons, but there are also valuable items, so be sure to actively head into dungeons.
—Found a safe! It might contain weapons and armor not found in stores.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

—Open the safe and get equipment!
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Safes with Traps
In some safes found in dungeons, enemies will hide inside instead of items and jump out to attack you. They are often a tough challenge, so watch your health when you open a safe.
—A degenerate waiting inside a safe. You cannot escape.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

—Degenerates may attack you with ice attacks, beware of how powerful they are!
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Dungeon Bosses
As you progress through the dungeons, there will be strong bosses awaiting you. The numbers and sizes of bosses differ, from a squad of human enemies to an excavator, there is a great variety.
—An excavator dungeon boss. How will Kasuga and company tackle this foe?

Yakuza: Like a Dragon details company management, equipment forging
More ways for Ichiban Kasuga to make money.
Sal Romano Dec 3, 2019

Sega has released new information and screenshots for Yakuza: Like a Dragon introducing company management and equipment forging.
Get the details below.
■ How to Make Money Midway Into the Story
When you get to the middle of the story, enemies will have become significantly stronger, so things will be difficult unless you have expensive equipment and items. One way to earn that sort of money is through “Company Management.”
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Company Management
Following certain events, Ichiban Kasuga will undertake the revival of a small company called “Number One Confectionery,” which is on the verge of bankruptcy. As the company president, Kasuga will try all possible means to grow the company, from gathering up employees to holding shareholder meetings. However, rival companies aiming to monopolize profits will stand in Kasuga’s way. Kick about your rivals to increase your stock prices and become the number one company in Yokohama.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Kasuga’s Encounter with Number One Confectionery President Eri Kamataki
Kasuga and company get to know Eri Kamataki after finding her collapsed in the city and nursing her back to health. After she regains her composure, Eri reveals herself to be the president of a rice crackers shop called “Number One Confectionery,” which she inherited from her late father, but repeated troubles and misfortune have driven her company to a state of near-bankruptcy. Realizing the limitations of her management, she has decided to shutdown the company. Kasuga, who cannot turn a blind eye to the exhausted Eri, decides to save Number One Confectionery.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Working Company Management
“Company Management” is a new element where Kasuga, who becomes the new president of Number One Confectionery, manages property and personnel, raises funds from financial institutions, and conducts business activities to grow the company.
Since sales vary greatly depending on property potential and abilities of engaged employees, precise management in business activities is essential.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Since there are all sorts of business properties you can purchase, you should analyze the state of your personnel and capital to make a buy that is appropriate.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Find out the property’s room for growth, and earn management funds with profits from fundraising and business activities to acquire them.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Properly invest in the talented personnel that carry the weight of the company. Winning over and nurturing said personnel is a shortcut to achieving your goals. The chicken Kokekokko, who Eri has been raising, is a mascot-esque character for Number One Confectionery.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Shareholder Meetings
As you conduct business activities, you will hold shareholder meetings at fixed intervals. Shareholder meetings are debate battle games where you must persuade dissatisfied shareholders in question and answer sessions. Firmly refute shareholder proposals and persuade them to increase your shareholder approval rating. By gathering majority support, your shareholder meeting will be a success.
Shareholder meeting are real-time question and answer session battles where you must persuade shareholders who have different opinions from management with rebuttals from company employees. Shareholders will attack with speech bubbles containing dissatisfaction towards the company’s personnel, property, and funds.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Company employees on the rebuttal side have personnel, property, and funding attributes. If they refute with a compatible attribute, they can destroy speech bubbles with a small number of attacks. Develop your strategy considering the amount of cost available to you and the cost required for your company members to attack. Shareholders whose speech bubbles have been destroyed will be temporarily defenseless, and from there your company members can deal even further rebuttal attacks, allowing you to lower the shareholder’s HP. When a shareholder’s HP becomes zero, they will no longer be able to attack, allowing you to proceed the shareholder meeting with an advantage.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

As a question and answer session becomes more lively, Kasuga’s gauge will accumulate, and when it reaches a fixed amount, he can activate his “Extreme Apology” skill. Can Kasuga calm down the shareholders with a full-power apology!?
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Persuade all the shareholders within the question and answer session time limit, or keep your approval rating at at least 50 percent to clear your shareholder meeting.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

How to Earn Money in Management Mode + Shareholder Meetings
After a shareholder meeting ends, you can acquire “executive remuneration,” which is remuneration acquired by Kasuga himself to used as personal spending money. Since the amount of remuneration varies based on the results of the shareholder meeting, you can gain more money by managing your company well and dominating shareholder meetings. It should be noted that “management funds,” which are acquired through fundraising and business activities, are “funds for company management” that cannot be used by Kasuga personally.
—After conducting business activities and shareholder meetings, stock prices and rankings will change.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

■ Effective Use of Money
Equipping stronger equipment and summoning strong allies to progress through the story is essential, but you will need a lot of money to do so. Here, we will introduce “Equipment Forging” at the “Romance Factory” repair shop.
Spending Money to Forge and Upgrade Weapons and Armor
Equipment such as strong weapons and armor are essential in battle. Equipment can be purchased at shops, but for even stronger equipment, it is essential to go to the “Romance Factory” repair shop to forge and upgrade equipment.
First Encounter with the Remarkable Repair Shop Engineer Sumire Sawa
When Kasuga’s favorite bat starts to rust, he visits the Romance Factory, a repair shop located in an obscure part of Isezaki Ijincho. Sumire Sawa, the factory manager Kasuga meets there, is a young lady and remarkable engineer who can forge any equipment. Kasuga admires Sumire’s skill and passion, and regularly comes to the factory to put together strong equipment.
—Since Sumire can be found at the Romance Factory, ask her to forge and upgrade your equipment. The factory will evolve as it gains more funding.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

How Forge and Upgrade Weapons and Armor
If you have materials or money, you can upgrade existing equipment or forge new equipment at the Romance Factory. Materials can be found scattered about the city, obtained in battle, purchased at stores, or gathered by clearing play spots. Additionally, by funding the Romance Factory, you will be able to forge strong weapons that cannot be obtained in the city.
—Run around the city and gather materials. There may even be materials in the mountains of trash.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

—Depending on the equipment you want to forge, the required materials and money will vary. The stronger the equipment, the more materials and money you will need.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

—The remarkable engineer Sumire can forge any equipment.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

—At the Romance Factory, you can even make equipment with powerful attributes.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

—When you change your equipped weapon, its appearance will also be reflected in battle. Try out various weapons to make battles even more enjoyable.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon details Tug-Tug, Crest Collection, Party Chat, and Smartphone Camera
Care for a little "Tug-Tug"?
Sal RomanoJan 14, 2020

Sega has released new information and screenshots for Yakuza: Like a Dragon introducing new elements such as “Tug-Tug,” “Crest Collection,” “Party Chat,” and the “Smartphone Camera.”
Get the details below.
■ Introducing New Features “Tug-Tug,” “Crest Collection,” and More
“Tug-Tug”

Sometimes people who provide a special service called “Tug-Tug” will appear in the city. By recieving the “Tug-Tug,” various benifits can be obtained including recovery of HP or MP, or improvements to protagonist Ichiban Kasuga’s Life Experience.
—A lady offers to provide Kasuga her “Tug-Tug” services. It is expensive, but will the effects be worth it?
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

(Editor’s Note: This is a play on the Dragon Quest series’ “Puff-Puff” element.)
“Crest Collection”
When you walk throughout the city, you will sometimes find crests from the Tojo Clan in bushes and on sidewalks. These crests seem to have been scattered due to the conflict with the Omi Alliance. A person dressing up as Kamurop, Kamurocho’s mascot character, seems to be collecting them before they end up in the wrong hands. If you bring him these crests, you will be able to exchange them for items you will not be able to find anywhere else.
—The Tojo Clan’s crests are scattered in various places. Look carefully for them because you might end up finding them in the most suprising locations.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

—Kamurop awaits at a certain spot in Isesaki Ijincho. Bring him the crests you collect to trade them in for stuff.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

—Not only you can get equipment for the crests, there are also some items that can only be obtained by trading in crests.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

“Party Chat”
Adding more fun to walking around the city is the dialogue feature called “Party Chat.” Depending on what Kasuga is doing, the time of the day, and the location, you can listen to chats between party members. Enjoy the dialogue and discover something new about your party members by exploring all over the city.
—When Kasuga and Namba are walking along the sea in Hamakita Park, they will start talking about sushi.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon

“Smartphone Camera”
Your smartphone has a camera. You can take pictures and apply filters to them such as “monotone,” “toy camera,” or “sepia.” When you take a selfie, you can change Kasuga’s facial expressions. You can even add decorations to your pictures such as pig noses and cat ears. Your photos can be checked at anytime through the in game smartphone’s “Album” feature. Record your memories with allies in different locations throughout the city.
