Qual distro vc tem instalada?

Se for alguma baseada no Ubuntu edita o arquivo /etc/default/grub

sudo nano /etc/default/grub

Na linha:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash""

Altera e deixa assim:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="i8042.nopnp=1 pci=nocrs quiet splash"

Salva o arquivo e depois roda o comando:
sudo update-grub
sudo reboot

Blz, então reinstala o nvidia-drm e vamos setar a resolução e o Hz pelo SDDM

Segue as configs feitas:

Em /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia-drm-nomodeset.conf

Adicionei o parâmetro: options nvidia-drm modeset=1

E em sudo cat /sys/module/nvidia_drm/parameters/modeset o resultado é Y


Nenhum pacote nvidia-dkms está instalado. E o SDDM está funcionando. (eu formatei quando cheguei em casa)

Partindo do zero, como eu faço para ter os 60hz do monitor ?

Quando eu instalei o driver sim. Gera pelo nvidia-xorg ?

No Windows funciona 4k a 60hz
Vi que é necessario um cabo 2.0 HDMI....

Eu não usei o windows por muito tempo. Nem saberia te dizer.

Estou o usando o cabo que veio no monitor. Estou presumindo que seja 2.0

O estranho foi que ontem funcionou a 88hz.

Em full hd também só aparece 30hz.

Sinceramente, muda de distro. O KDE Neon nem distro é, é apenas um laboratório de novas tecnologias do KDE.

Faz um teste aí com o EndeavourOS:


Sim. Pensei mesmo em trocar de distro. Mas queria algo com KDE derivado de debian. Talvez um Kubuntu.

Mas o Endeavour não é rolling release ?

É rolling release. O Endeavour é um meio mais fácil de instalar o Arch Linux, ele já vem com drivers Nvidia embutidos.

Saia um pouco da base Debian e experimente outros mares. Pelo menos por um tempo, só para dizer se foi bom ou ruim, não tem nada a perder.

Mas são os drivers do repositório ? nvidia-driver-470 ?

Se sim esse drivers não deram muito certo aqui.

Eu consigo outro cabo. Monitor dessa mesma resoluçao fica difícil.

Nesse meio tempo eu coloquei o Kubuntu e ele reconheceu 2560x1440 a 60hz.
Mas o 4k a 60hz não.

Sim, são os mesmos, mas pode ser a integração kernel + driver com a base Debian. O Neon como falou, não é muito curado.

No EndeavourOS eu usei o 5.10 LTS + driver 470.

Funcionou perfeitamente.

Eu tenho que tirar um tempo pra aprender um pouco a usar distro fora da base do debian. Eu até gravei a ISO, mas to sem tempo de experimentar muito.

Vou deixar o Kubuntu rodando por um tempo ainda.

Pessoal do Solus estava na treta com a System76 por conta do GTK4 e anunciaram que não vão mais usar o GTK.

Eu acho uma perda de tempo, mas software livre é isso, se não gosta de um rumo, dê um fork e siga por um outro caminho.

Mas acho que depois de uns anos eles vão acabar abandonando a plataforma, porque vai ficar difícil manter distro e desktop ao mesmo tempo, além dos aplicativos.

Todo o trabalho pesado que antes era feito pelo X11 foi removido do GTK4 e esse trabalho extra tem que ser feito agora pensando no Wayland
Foda que nada que é feito pelo Gnome pode ser reutilizado
Das duas uma, eles terão que ficar com GTK3 pra sempre, ou usar outra coisa como o Qt
