RED DEAD ONLINE BETA UPDATE ARRIVES NEXT WEEK
ALL NEW WORLD ENHANCEMENTS, MODES AND MORE FROM FEBRUARY 26

Next week the Red Dead Online Beta frontier expands with all new Free Roam Events, a host of new Showdown Modes, and new Races coming as part of its first title update on Tuesday, February 26. This update also brings the first batch of new Weapons, Clothing, and Emotes for your character, as well as a series of improvements and balances detailed last week. Also starting on Tuesday, February 26 look out for new content and special promotions weekly.

New Gameplay
New additions will include the Fool’s Gold Free Roam Event, where players will compete to control an equal parts gaudy and protective suit of Golden Armor. Fight to take down the armor wearer to earn points and claim it as your own, then turn the tables and earn points for kills while wearing the armor.

Competitive Challenges gets a fresh catch with Fishing Challenges. Fishing Challenges are broken out by type, opt in to the challenge and you’ll receive all the equipment necessary to compete including the rod as well lures and bait specific to the challenge type, whether it’s crickets for a river challenge, crayfish for the swamp or worms for lakes. Then head to an appropriate body of water to take part – also, you’ll be made safe from the nuisance of trigger-happy outlaws while you are taking the challenge. Catch the highest weight total of fish to win.

Also on the way are three new Showdown Modes where players and teams compete to capture and deliver bags, steal loot from each other and survive. Stay tuned for more details around Up in Smoke, Spoils of War and Plunder. Races will also see a new variation with Target Races where players shoot targets from horseback to pass checkpoints as they race along a track to the finish line.

New Weapons
B.D. and Co. is turning out the high grade, high capacity Evans Repeater rifle. The Rare Shotgun is D.D. Packenbush’s latest variation of the powerful double-barreled longarm. Sporting an antique style faded brass finish and an artfully adorned stock. Both weapons will be available via the Wheeler & Rawson Catalogue and local Gunsmiths.

New Clothing and Emotes
A wide range of new clothing to further customize your character – from the snake adorned Diamondback Hat to the fur trimmed Rutledge Vest – is also on the way with new Outfits, Jackets, Boots, Coats, Gloves, Hats, Vests and more. In addition to all the clothing that will be available for purchase at your leisure, keep an eye on the shops and the Catalogue for unique special items that will come and go. A variety of new Emotes is also on the way – featuring everything from greets to reactions and taunts.

PS4 Early Access Content
In addition to new Target Races, PlayStation 4 players will have early access to Open Target Races where you compete in an open space to take out the most targets on horseback. PS4 players will also get early access to the Jawbone Knife, a unique melee weapon with a handle artfully carved from the remains of a slain animal’s jaw, as well as a range of new clothing options and 3 new Emotes.

RED DEAD ONLINE BETA UPDATE OUT NOW

Today, the Red Dead Online Beta gets its first big batch of updates including new gameplay, weapons and clothing, additional balancing and a slew of community-requested improvements thanks to responses to our player feedback page. The update is live in-game now - see below for details.

Earn Gold Nuggets and XP for completing Daily Challenges, a new series of wide-ranging objectives covering everything from skinning animals to finding treasure, winning feuds and more. Pull up the Player Menu to see your 7 Daily Challenges that will rotate each day, each challenge earns Gold Nuggets and XP and completing all 7 earns you a bonus.

Starting next week, compete with rival teams and Posses in the new Free Roam Event Fool’s Gold, where players fight to wear a protective suit of Golden Armor. Take down the current wearer to earn the armor and points, then turn the tables and rack up kills against the opposition.

And looking ahead, new game modes will arrive in the Red Dead Online Beta each week. Put your highwayman skills to the test with Target Races as you race other players on horseback to take down targets with speed and accuracy. Proficiency with a bow and arrow will give you an edge, take advantage of weapon and horse stamina pickups where you can, use your limited bullets wisely to remove targets or your attack your competition.

Take on friends and rivals in new Fishing Challenges. Opt in to a challenge to receive the appropriate equipment and bait, head to the water’s edge and start reeling in the big ones. For added ease, use Eagle Eye to pick a spot full of fish. Remember, you’re trying to catch the highest total weight of fish to win – which could be achieved by hooking several smaller fish or angling for one large catch - so keep everything you reel in.

Also coming soon: three new Showdown Modes where players and teams compete to capture and deliver bags, steal loot from each other and survive. Stay tuned for more details around Up in Smoke, Spoils of War and Plunder. With the addition of these new modes also comes the Featured Series blip - visit the Featured Series sign post or from the Quick Join menu to play the latest modes.

The Rare Shotgun is a beautifully engraved, faded brass version of the powerful, double-barreled longarm and is available today. Coming soon, be sure to get your hands on the Evans Repeater - a high grade, high capacity rifle that is devastating at medium and long range. Both weapons will be available via the Wheeler & Rawson Catalogue and from local Gunsmiths.

Treat yourself to a range of new Outfits, Boots, Coats, Gloves, Hats, Vests and more. In addition to all the clothing that will be available for purchase at your leisure, keep an eye on the shops and the Catalogue for Limited Time items that will come and go each week.

Express yourself with a new set of emotes including new reactions, greets and taunts. Like all Emotes, you can tap once for the standard emote and double tap for a more exaggerated expression. You can find new Emotes in the Wheeler & Rawson Catalogue then add them to your Emote Wheel through the Emote Wheel Management menu.

Updated Player Radar and Visibility: We’ve reduced the visibility of players blips over longer distances, so now your location won’t display to other players unless you are nearby – minimizing the likelihood of being targeted across the map by more aggressive competitors. This includes limiting voice chat to near proximity rather than players from across the map. Overly aggressive players will be highlighted from the map with a progressively darkening dot. If your style of play becomes more hostile, your map position (including your Posse members) will become darker and visible from further away.

Easier Parley and Feuds: Turn quarrels with other players into timed mini-deathmatches with easier to trigger Feuds, which can be initiated against a rival and their Posse after one kill. Alternately, instigate a temporary truce quicker after one kill with similar updates to the Parley system.

Enhanced Law and Bounty System: If you stir up enough trouble to earn a high bounty, you’ll increase the chance that a cadre of NPC Bounty Hunters will be out to get you. The higher the bounty gets, the more persistent your pursuers will become… so watch out!

Acho q a essa altura não compensa pegar as edições especiais, não. Vem uma ou duas sidemissions extra q são bem rasas e outfits, cavalo diferente e algumas coisinhas online (na época do lançamento do online deu acesso antes pra quem tinha tbm). Eu tenho vontade de comprar a de colecionador, aquela sim é uma belezinha

Sobre bugs, posso falar do single player pois tenho umas 150 hrs e digo que os bugs relevantes foram corrigidos sim, exceto um meio chatinho q acontece com a pele do lobo lendário. Pode comprar sem medo, mas eu indicaria ir na versão normal mesmo.

E pelo que eu vi, isso acontece há um tempão e até hoje não arrumaram. Vou parar de jogar, desse jeito não dá.

NEW EVANS REPEATER RIFLE, FOOL’S GOLD FREE ROAM EVENT AND MORE

Last week we implemented our first round of significant updates to the Red Dead Online Beta including new gameplay systems, experience balancing and over 300 bug fixes, another step on the road to building out what this world will become. This beta period allows us to shape and improve the fundamentals of that world before the journey of Red Dead Online truly begins. As Red Dead Online evolves, we will keep adding and improving features to give you a deeper connection to the world, your character, your horse and your weapons, as well as adding new gameplay that will help players carve out their own fate across the lawless frontier.

Here’s a look at two new additions launching today, including the return of a powerful weapon from the original Red Dead Redemption, and a frantic new addition to the list of Free Roam Events to experience as you move across the world. In addition, everyone will also get a package of useful items for playing this week.

New Weapon: Evans Repeater
The Evans Repeater is a powerful long-range rifle that’s known for being in John Marston’s arsenal during the events of Red Dead Redemption. The Evans Repeater has a high bullet capacity and is deadly at medium and long distances, with an especially high rate of fire. It also has customization options like Stocks, Sights and Wraps – to make this an essential part of your character’s weapon inventory. You can pick one up now directly from the Rawson, Wheeler & Co catalogue or at any Gunsmith.

You always need to be prepared to go out in a blaze of glory, but a little armor can delay the inevitable. This is the idea behind the Fool’s Gold Free Roam event. Fool’s Gold is the latest addition to the rotating roster of Free Roam Events, a selection of special competitive game types that periodically invite you to participate as you roam across the world of the Red Dead Online Beta. When you opt-into a Free Roam Event you’ll automatically join the event location before it begins. Like all Free Roam events, Fool’s Gold is a quick and easy way to jump into some fun competition and rack up a little extra XP and cash. It’s also a great way to quickly complete weapon, kill or combat-related Daily Challenges without attacking players in an open session.

In Fool’s Gold, you will battle other players to wear the Golden Armor, taking down opponents while wearing it to earn points. You can also score points by taking out a rival player that’s wearing the Golden Armor, which then puts the armor up for grabs to whoever reaches it first.

In addition to Fool’s Gold, there are a range of other Free Roam Events regularly taking place across the five states in the Red Dead Online Beta:

• Cold Dead Hands: Fight for control over a target for the longest amount of time.
• Competitive Challenges: Compete to get the highest score in a given, randomly-selected challenge within a set time limit (currently includes Bow, Headshot, Horseback, Longarm, and Sidearm Kill Challenges).
• Dispatch Rider: Posses compete to be the first to deliver a horse to the assigned destination.
• King of the Castle: Compete to gain and maintain control of the castle area by staying alive inside of it - whoever controls the active area for the highest percentage of the event time wins.
• Master Archer: Compete to score the most points by hitting the most targets as accurately as you can within the time limit.

Like all Free Roam Events in the Red Dead Online Beta, Fool’s Gold can be played as individual free-for-alls or as skirmishes between Posses. To join Fool’s Gold, look for an alert to pop-up on screen while in Free Roam and then accept the invite. If a Posse leader accepts an invite to Fool’s Gold (or any other Red Dead Online Beta Free Roam Event) then their Posse members will automatically join the event with the posse leader. As the Red Dead Online Beta continues and we gain more data and feedback from players, we will continue to add new Free Roam events and a lot more.

New Care Package
We appreciate all the support you’ve shown thus far during the beta period, and this week all Red Dead Online Beta participants will receive a special care package (redeemed either at your camp’s lockbox or at any post office across the five states) as a show of our appreciation. This includes a host of items to help you survive life on the frontier and tackle any new Daily Challenges in Free Roam or Free Roam Events, on mission or in a Showdown Series:

• 60x High Velocity Pistol Ammo
• 60x High Velocity Repeater Ammo
• 2x Fire Bottles
• 8x Fire Arrows
• 2x Jolly Jack’s
• 2x Potent Horse Medicine
• 1x Lake Lure

As an added bonus, anyone who completes five Daily Challenges at any point between now and March 11 will be gifted one Special Spinner next week. The Special Spinner is a handy lure to catch fish of all sizes that cannot be lost if you ever cut the line.

Fui atrás disso e vi que muita gente tem o mesmo problema, aqui ou na gringolândia. É culpa unicamente da Rockstar!! Um absurdo como uma empresa desse porte, com o dinheiro quase infinito que tem, deixar o online desse jeito.

O pior é que eu já li gente falando assim: "Ah, mas é beta ainda". Porra, o jogo foi lançada há um tempão!! Claro que eles vão escrever lá que é Beta como se fosse uma desculpa, mas já era pra ter resolvido um problema desses ou então só lançasse o online quando arrumassem o básico, que é poder jogar!

O online só deve ficar jogável daqui a uns bons meses, e aí a maioria vai ter abandonado o jogo.

Fui na internetz procurar a localização do fantasma da floresta,mas esse jogo é foda.
Nada acontece do jeito que você imagina.
Chego lá e não acho nada.
Fico rodando igual um pião.
Quando de repente aparece um ponto de interrogação,e acontece uma maluquice que não esperava.
Na madrugada seguinte volto e nada.
Só depois de algumas tentativas percebi que tinha que apagar a fogueira pra maluca aparecer.
Foi então que escutei a voz dela,mas não vi nada.
Retorno novamente na madrugada seguinte,e então finalmente encontro ela.
Quando estou me aproximando pra ver a cara da maluca,o puto do cavalo se assusta com o jacaré,e derruba o Arthur do cavalo.
Eu tento me levantar,mas o fantasma some.
Fiquei puto com o cavalo.
Depois disso consegui vê-la mais 3 vezes.
Na segunda vez foi bizarro.
Montei a cabana no local exato pro Arthur acordar de madrugada.
Quando eu desmontei a cabana o fantasma apareceu nas costas do Arthur.
Ficou bem na minha cara.
Me assutei quando ela começou a falar.

O jogo é lindo, mas é só isso mesmo? Tô jogando com um amigo, só não quitei ainda por causa dele, mas tem sido um dos jogos mais "boring" que já joguei. Ainda nem encostei no single player, tô falando do online.

Larguei o online, deu não. Nem com meu amigo eu tava me divertindo, terrível. Agora tô no single player, história parece legal, personagens também. Vamo ver no que dá. Como salva nesse jogo? Salvei manualmente ontem, dizem que é automático, terminei uma missão e logo começou outra, fui tentar salvar e tava bloqueado. Será que salvou automático? Se não salvou a missão que fiz vou dropar essa porra, dá não.

PS4, tô tentando zerar o jogo agora o mais rápido possível, pra vender ele e comprar uma parada aí. Jogo não me desceu não, combate ridículo, dá prazer nenhum matar os caras ou até mesmo npcs, porque a mira é travada. Precisa de habilidade nenhuma pra jogar isso. No GTA, maioria dos jogadores iam pro lobby de mira travada, mas tinha sniper e rpg que não era travado. A gente só usava sniper mesmo, era divertido. Agora esse RDR não deu pra mim. A história do single parece boa, mas sei lá, toda hora que tô jogando eu penso "tenho opções mais divertidas pra jogar". Tá foda. haha
