só fiquei conhecendo essa versão graças a user aqui do forum que mencionou ela (o JVS GAMES)
depois de um certo tempo achei, baixei, e achei fantástica!
na geração 16bits eu tinha um snes, e joguei RRR nele, só muitos anos mais tarde fui jogar a versão mega, ela tem resolução de tela/campo de visão maior que a do snes, e tem o dobro de pistas , mas em compensação o som é inferior, e o pior ponto do mega era o fato da musica pausar quando o locutor fala.... isso foi muito broxante....
pois bem, agora nesse hack corrigiram isso e a musica não para mais com a locução, tem todas a vozes/falas do mega/snes, todas as músicas, e tudo simultaneamente como deveria sempre ter sido.
só isso pra mim já valeria esse hack, mas tem MUITO mais coisas

- uma porrada de pistas novas, armas novas, e carros novos
- escolha de lingua: ingles, russo ou portugues
- tem um novo nivel de dificuldade
- novos personagens, e pode escolher os chefes, e na tela de seleção os planetas giram igual no snes (no original do mega ficam parados)
- 16 cores para escolher nos carros, no original do Snes e mega são só 5
- correções de balanceamento, bugs, e da IA dos adversários
- musica nova portada do Maximum Carnage (alem de todas as musicas originais do jogo é claro)
- jogatina on-line (não testei isso)
- entre muitas outras coisas
