Also during his interview with MTV, Shane Kim was quizzed on the topic of Banjo and Kazooie 3, which since its introduction a couple years ago at E3, has dropped right off the radar. It seemed like Banjo 3 itself was in the running to be scrapped as a project, but Shane has confirmed otherwise, slipping in the project may very well be releasing this holiday season. ...:-(
Kim only had this to say about the topic, suggesting, but not actually saying the official release date: “I’m super-excited about what they’re doing with ‘Banjo.’ I think ‘Banjo’ is going to be a big hit for us this holiday.”
This is good news, as it is the first we’ve heard in an extremely long time about the project. Banjo remains a good license in Microsoft’s portfolio to reach out to their casual market, but it is hard to say at this point if the appeal really exists for Xbox owners, or if this will another under preforming family orientated game
