TV LG 32" 1080p
checa itens 0, 1, 2, 3, 5
TV Samsung 40"
checa itens 0, 1, 3, 5, 6
Monitor Acer 24" 144hz
checa itens 0, 1, 2, 4, 8, 11
Monitor LG UW 34" 2560x1080 75hz@80hz
checa itens 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, ~9
minha ordem de satisfação enquanto usava: LG UW > TV LG > TV SAMSUNG > MONITOR 144hz
e voce? como fica sua tela nessa lista

i can easily tell 70 from 72hz. same for 130 from 138 (which is what i capped my 144hz screen at, optimal input delay for gsync) and i can just as easily tell that i could benefit from more than 144hz BUT! this is how i see it: when buying a screen for games, make sure the refresh rate is: A minimum of 75hz A target of 100hz ideally, as much as you can get That minimum is actually slightly actually below my "this is good enough" threshold", but since there are no factory 80, 85 or 90hz screen anymore.... just overclock your screen if you can. reaching 80 already makes a huge difference.
also don't make sacrifices to upgrade from ~100hz because the gains are not worth it. 100hz is great already. when i had a 144hz screen i targeted 90fps on my games. that rate felt "fluid" enough most of the time. since that screen was gsync (and a absolutely poor color / contrast TN panel that was a tad small at 24hz, imo) and i switched to a radeon gpu, i sold it and bought a UW freesync screen. i don't regret for a second. sure, i miss the extra fluidity, but the image quality, vastly deeper blacks, better, more accurate colors, and the massively bigger size (34") MORE than make up for it. i wouldn't ever go back. my priorities when buying a screen are, in descending order of importance:
0- 1080p or more (i don't buy a lower res screen, so this isn't even in my checklist, it's just a given)
1- 24" or more
2- basic IPS panel or better
3- 75hz or more
4- 27" or more
5- better quality panel
6- even bigger sizes
7- 100hz or more
8- super high quality panel
9- 1440p or more
10- 144hz or more
11- 4k or more
if i'm on a tight budget, i go down the list checking for a screen that meet as many of those criteria as i can. as you can see, being over 60hz is really important to me, but being super-high-refreshrate isn't. i'll certainly welcome it, but i have other priorities.
i tried not paying mind to my preferences when i bought that 144hz to try the absolute fluidity for once, but there wasn't a single time where i wouldn't sit on my pc, stare at the grayish blacks, the slightly different colors getting to each eye, the washed out look... and be annoyed to no end by it. i didn't like that screen. it checked items 1, 3, 7 and 9, and i was happier using my 40" TV as a screen (that's what i had been using from 2008 to then, they all checked 1,2,4,5,6)
as for my current screen, unfortunately i could only overclock it to 80hz from 75 (even though it manages 115hz with no artifacts, but a fraction of a hz over 80 and it triggers the stupid OSD on the monitor to display the "out of range" window over the image). but... that's "good enough". it doesn't bother me unless i focus too much on it. i'm satisfied with it. it checks items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 on my list. as you can tell, i consider this to be the best lcd screen i've ever owned
