AMD Ryzen 7 5800X “Vermeer” 8 Core & 16 Thread Zen 3 CPU Benchmark Leaks Out – Faster Than Intel’s Fastest Core i9-10900K 10 Core Gaming Chip
The first performance benchmarks of AMD's next-generation Ryzen 7 5800X "Vermeer" Zen 3 CPU have leaked out in the Ashes of The Singularity database. The benchmarks have been spotted by TUM APISAK and show that AMD's upcoming 8 core will absolutely demolish Intel's fastest 10 core chip when it comes to price/performance.
AMD's Ryzen 7 5800X 8 Core & 16 Thread "Zen 3 Vermeer" CPU Benchmark Leak Out, Faster Than The Intel Core i9-10900K 10 Core CPU
The performance was measured in the Ashes of the Singularity benchmark at the 4K Crazy preset. While 4K tends to be more of a GPU-bound scenario, the AOTS benchmark does include indicators for CPU performance metrics.
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X “Vermeer” 12 Core & 24 Thread Zen 3 CPU Allegedly Up To 5 GHz With 150W TDP
The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X is one of the two Ryzen 5000 "Vermeer" series chips that are confirmed to be part of the launch lineup so far. We talked about the Ryzen 9 5900X yesterday which is a higher-end 12 core & 24 thread part while the Ryzen 7 5800X would replace the Ryzen 7 3800X at a similar price point. From the benchmark, the chip is listed as an 8 core part with 16 thread so the core config hasn't been changed from its predecessor.
The first leaked benchmark of AMD's next-generation Ryzen 7 5800X "Zen 3 Vermeer" CPU has been spotted by TUM_APISAK.
The fundamental changes to Zen 3 would come in the form of a new architecture for higher IPC gains, a redesigned CCD/cache structure, higher clocks, and improved efficiency. The clock speeds for the chip weren't reported within the benchmark but the chip scored 5900 points which are on par with the Intel Core i9-10900K running at stock. Both setups were running a GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card.
What's more important to look at are the CPU framerates and here you can see the Ryzen 7 5800X completely crushing the Intel Core i9-10900K in terms of max framerate. In the Normal Batch run, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X delivers up to 22% higher framerate than the Intel Core i9-10900K and 16% average in all batch results. We do not know the final clocks for the Ryzen 7 5800X yet but the Intel Core i9-10900K does feature more cores and threads and even runs at clock speeds up to 5.3 GHz.
Previously leaked OPN codes did point out up to 4.6 GHz clock speeds for engineering samples which is the same boost clock as the Ryzen 7 3800X. Since the Ryzen 7 3800X operates at up to 4.7 GHz boost clocks, we might get something close to 4.7-4.8 GHz with the Zen 3 based parts. The following are the leaked OPN codes of Zen 3 engineering samples from Igor's Lab:
AMD Navi 21, 22 and 23 Massive Technical Specifications Leak – Flagship Navi 21 GPU To Have 80 CUs
Considering if AMD prices its Ryzen 7 5800X in the same ballpark as the Ryzen 7 3800X, around $350-$400 US, that would mean a big win for consumers as they'll get performance equivalent to a $500 US+ chip at a much lower price. Additionally, the AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs will be using an enhanced 7nm+ process node and we can expect higher efficiency resulting in much lower power draw than the competing Intel chips.

According to Cowcotland, AMD is no longer manufacturing graphics processors for Radeon RX 5700 series.
Reference AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT and Radeon RX 5700
The website claims that both reference and custom designs are no longer manufactured. This means that the cards which are already on the market are representing the very last batch of these SKUs ards that will be available. Some retailers have increased the price of the Navi 10 cards in response to lower supply and this trend is visible in price spikes since July.
What is interesting though is that AMD is still manufacturing Radeon RX 5600 XT GPU (also Navi 10), so these cards are to remain on market for a while. After all, RX 5600XT debuted on January 21st, so it is not even a year old.
What is even more interesting is that AMD did not cancel the Polaris-based Radeon RX 500 series and Radeon RX 5500 (Navi 14) yet. The Polaris 20 models debuted back in 2017.
AMD is set to announce its Radeon RX 6000 series based on RDNA2 architecture on October 28th. The next-generation Radeon cards should be available in November.

A short while back we asked AMD whether the Ryzen 3 3300X had been phased out as stocks have been unavailable for quite some time. The answer was the same back then as well. AMD claimed that the 3300X was unavailable due to the high market demand and it had nothing to do with limited production or controlled distribution. Similarly, the RX 5700 is also unavailable across most retailers with a few selling them for as much as or even more than the 5700 XT.We are continuing to produce Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards, which deliver exceptional 1440p gaming experiences, and we will continue to respond to market demand

Essa 5600XT é melhor que uma 1070? To por fora.AMD Radeon 5600XT was the 2nd Most Sold GPU on Steam in Sep; Ryzen CPU Share Soars to 26%
For the first time this year, AMD’s Navi graphics cards made it to the top 5 best-selling GPUs for the month of September. The Radeon RX 5600 XT was the second most popular graphics card among Steam games, just behind the GeForce GTX 1650 and followed by the GTX 1660 Super. The RTX 2070 Super remained strong, holding the fourth position on the list of best-selling GPUs. The unexpected arrival here is the RX 5500 XT which climbed up to the 5th position out of nowhere.
The RX 5600 XT and 5500 XT accounted for 0.19% and 0.15% of all graphics cards on Steam at the end of September. Both these gains came in a single month which is quite impressive, but at the same unexpected. I reckon the shortage of the RX 5700 graphics card pushed potential buyers towards the next best option, namely the RX 5600 XT:
As for the RX 5500 XT, I honestly have no idea what caused this sudden burst in sales. Moving to the CPU market, AMD now controls nearly 26% of the market among Steam gamers. This is the farthest AMD has come this decade. The last time AMD held close to 30% of the CPU market on Steam was in the late 2000s. This increment continues AMD’s monthly gain of around 1% on the Steam platform. At this rate, AMD should have a market share exceeding 40% by the end of 2021. There’s no telling how the arrival of the Zen 3 based Ryzen 5000 CPUs will affect this figure, so it may as well happen sooner than later.

Mais algumas news das BIG NAVI, no aguardo agora é dos benchmarks
AMD Big Navi to Pack 80CUs (5,120 Cores): 20 CUs to be Used for Ray-Tracing: 20 TFLOPs of FP32
As per a source on Twitter, AMD’s Big Navi GPU will indeed use 80 compute units or 5,120 shaders resulting in a performance rating of 20 TFLOP FP32. However, it turns out that 20 of these CUs (nearly an Xbox Series S GPU) will be used as dedicated ray-tracing units in games that feature the technology. This would make sense as unlike NVIDIA’s RTCores, Navi 2x only features dedicated hardware units for ray-box and ray-triangle intersection testing. The BVH traversal will be done by the shaders, and it’s these 20 CUs that will do that job:
Read more here
In the above image, you can see the ray-acceleration units and Texture samplers share resources and only one can operate per cycle. Furthermore, these ray-acceleration units can’t do BVH traversal, that will fall to the SIMD32 units or the stream processors.
Furthermore, there will be 320 Texture samplers and 96 ROPs, roughly the same as the RTX 3080 which packs 272 TMUs and 96 ROPs, with the main difference being that the latter is linked with GPCs rather than the memory controller.
Furthermore, the GeForce RTX 3080 features a total of 68 RT cores and 272 Tensor cores, with 5MB of L2 cache and 128KB of L1 per SM. The total number of shaders is 8704, but the performance won’t scale as much. We’ll see roughly the same performance as with a 5,000 Turing GPU as the integer compute can’t run on the same cores as FP32. Overall, it looks like the memory system will be Ampere’s primary advantage against Big Navi, It remains to be seen if the higher core clocks of the latter will be enough to counter the additional bandwidth. We’ll likely see larger deficits at 4K as that’s where the need for more memory arises. At 1440p, it should be relatively lower.
- NVIDIA RTX 3080/3090 “Ampere” Architectural Deep Dive: 2x FP32, 2nd Gen RT Cores, 3rd Gen Tensor Cores and RTX IO
- Update: A patent from a while ago:
As this patent shows, the BVH traversal is performed using the shader in these CUs, with the accompanying ray-acceleration units being used for ray-triangle/box intersection tests. The related data is managed using the vGPRs. This is a different approach than what NVIDIA takes. Each RTCore in an RTX GPU is separate from the main graphics and compute pipeline and can run in parallel with them, and neither do the two share any resources. More on that in the above post.
