A strange thing is happening: four years after launch, the PlayStation 4 is selling out – particularly online in the United States. To be clear, if you had planned on getting Sony’s system this week, then you’ll probably find plenty of stock in store – assuming you’re willing to fight for it – but the heavily advertised $199 consoles have all but evaporated on Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Wal Mart’swebsites. Not even GameStop has any stock online – although it seems the device is available in store

Na Best Buy vendeu como se não ouvesse amanhã.
PS4 sold like there was no tomorrow at my Best Buy
The Best Buy I work at in downtown Chicago sold so many 199$ PS4's it was unbelievable. I must say it greatly surprised me because it had been on sale for 199$ throughout the whole week so I did not really expect it to be that crazy tonight. We had roughly 200 PS4s in stock before 5pm (when we opened) I left at around midnight and only 17 PS4s were left. Which means tomorrow when we open the doors again at 8am we will have only 17 units in stock which will naturally sell out like hot cakes. It was seriously unbelievable, I work at the Mobile Department and as I was looking around the store i could see 1/3 of all the present customers were holding a PS4 in their hands it was unbelievable. Also a friend of mine who works at Best Buy but in a different location told me the same story of how they almost sold out of all the PS4 units they had. Also, I will have to say Nintendo Switch came in second that also kinda surprised me since the console is 299$ I must say I am impressed by Nintendo switch it's very popular.
Did Sony underestimate the demand or what?

PLAYSTATION TEVE A MELHOR BLACK FRIDAY DA HISTÓRIA DA COMPANHIA
Sony VP Says PlayStation Had Its Biggest Black Friday Sale Ever
Earlier today, Sony Interactive Entertainment Senior Vice President and Head of PlayStation Network Eric Lempel joined CNBC during a brief segment to discuss what he called the “biggest Black Friday of PlayStation History,” the future of PlayStation VR, and how the console market is looking after many had counted them out.
According to Lempel, the company sold more consoles than it ever had in its 22-year history on Black Friday. Lempel also mentioned that while some people were beginning to doubt the abilities of consoles to sell, PlayStation 4 has been “thriving,” with Lempel referring the recent Sony Corporation earnings that reported the company was up in profits by 346%, a majority of which has come from the PlayStation business.
Lempel went on to confirm that Sony was having a “great year” and that the console business in general was doing very well, Sony especially after they introduced mid-cycle consoles last year. The segment closed with CNBC asking Lempel about virtual reality and its impact on the company going forward, and he was pretty adamant that the PlayStation VR would continue to be a staple in the Sony lineup, noting that consumers are drawn to “big, immersive games” like Resident Evil 7 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR. Lempel went on to say that he thinks the company is “just scratching the surface” when it comes to virtual reality, which should be music to any PSVR owners ears.
E as vendas do Negrão seguem assustadoramente absurdas, acho que passa o PS3 esse ano mesmo.
