Yakuza 7 surge na base de dados do Steam
Versão Ocidental poderá ser anunciada em breve.

Ao contrário do que fez no passado, a SEGA poderá estar a preparar o lançamento em simultâneo do próximo Yakuza no PC e PlayStation 4.

Lançado Janeiro de 2020 no Japão, Yakuza 7, conhecido como Yakuza: Like a Dragon, representa uma nova era na memorável série da SEGA, mas isso poderá ser aplicável à sua distribuição e não apenas devido ao novo protagonista e local.

De acordo com o SteamDB, Yakuza 7 já está na base de dados do Steam e isso sugere que poderá ser lançado muito mais cedo do que é habitual.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon foi confirmado para a PlayStation 4 em 2020 no Ocidente e até ao momento, a SEGA não referiu uma versão PC. No entanto, isso poderá mudar em breve.

Será que a SEGA vai optar por um lançamento em simultâneo para Yakuza: Like a Dragon?

Yakuza: Like a Dragon, conhecido no Japão como Ryu Ga Gotoku 7, deverá chegar ao PC no ocidente, segundo a base de dados da Steam.
Na SteamDB podemos ver que foi registada uma "app desconhecida," mas com a imagem do jogo da Sega. Aliás, a companhia nipónica tem estado bastante calada relativamente a uma possível chegada de Yakuza: Like a Dragon no ocidente. Relembramos que o jogo foi lançado no Japão a 16 de janeiro de 2020.

Sabíamos que o jogo acabaria por chegar ao ocidente ainda em 2020, mas até agora não tínhamos ouvido falar sobre uma potencial chegada ao PC, uma vez que o jogo é exclusivo PS4 no território nipónico.
Neste momento não sabemos quando chegará a mais recente entrega da franquia no ocidente. Se olharmos para o passado, os jogos que são registados na SteamDB acabam por chegar à Steam mais cedo ou mais tarde.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon will launch for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store alongside its previously announced PlayStation 4 version in the west on day one of release when it launches in 2020, Sega announced. The Xbox versions will support Smart Delivery and cross-save functionality. Pre-orders for the physical “Day One Edition” are now available at select retailers in North America and Europe.

The Story Begins…
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is, at its core, an underdog story about fighting for what you believe in, even when you’re at rock bottom. Our new main protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, a low-ranking grunt of a low-ranking yakuza family, takes the fall for a crime he didn’t commit in order to protect his patriarch and father-figure, Masumi Arakawa. After serving an 18-year prison sentence, he returns to society to discover that the clan he once belonged to has been destroyed, its few remaining members are being hunted in the streets, and learns that his former patriarch may be the man responsible for it all. Facing an unimaginable sense of betrayal, loss, and confusion, he sets out to discover the truth. This is where Yakuza: Like a Dragon’s story begins.
A Truly Outrageous RPG Like You’ve Never Seen Before
Along with the all-new cast and setting, Yakuza: Like a Dragon introduces a new dynamic RPG combat system that takes the genre somewhere it’s never been before – present-day Japan. Character Introductions

• Ichiban Kasuga (voiced by Kazuhiro Nakaya) – Of the Arakawa Family, a Tojo Clan subsidiary. A low-ranking member of a low-ranking family, Kasuga is asked by his patriarch and father-figure, Masumi Arakawa, to turn himself in for a murder committed by the family captain, Jo Sawashiro. He is released after serving 18 years in prison, only to discover that the Tojo Clan has been eradicated from Kamurocho and in its place is the Omi Alliance of Kansai—and that Masumi Arakawa may be behind all of it. Seeking the truth, he heads to meet with his former patriarch.

Yakuza Like a Dragon Smart Delivery on Xbox One, Xbox Series X

Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the newest in the Yakuza series and already available on PS4 in Japan will head to both Xbox One and Xbox Series X later this year. Moreover, the title will support Smart Delivery, meaning those who purchase it on Xbox One will get cross-save and cross-buy functionality when the Xbox Series X version is available.

Like a Dragon was confirmed for a 2020 western release late last year, though next-gen console availability was up in the air until today. We assume that the title will also be available on PS5, though it’s unclear if cross-buy and cross-save functionality will be available between those platforms.

We’ll let you know when we hear more of Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The Xbox Series X heads to store shelves this holiday 2020 season. For a list of all games detailed during today’s Inside Xbox livestream — including those that support Smart Delivery — head here.

Microsoft’s upcoming next-gen console, the Xbox Series X, could possibly launch on October 23 alongside Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

We know that the Series X is arriving during the holiday season, but an exact release date has yet to be announced. Our guess is that the console will arrive somewhere in November, but with the possibility of Sony’s PS5 arriving this October, and based on a new listing for the recently announced Western release of Yakuza: Like a Dragon for the Series X, Microsoft’s Xbox Series X might very well release this October.

As announced during Microsoft’s special Inside Xbox episode last week, Yakuza: Like a Dragon launches on day one on the Xbox Series X. “Yakuza: Like a Dragon, an explosive new entry point in the acclaimed Yakuza series, will be releasing as a launch title on the next-gen Xbox Series X, with simultaneous releases on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC”, Microsoft’s official post on the Xbox Wire now reads.

“We’re also excited to announce that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will support Xbox Series X Smart Delivery immediately on release. That means if you’ve purchased the Xbox One version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, you’ll be entitled to a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X console version. Cross-save functionality between Xbox One and Xbox Series X is also supported, so no matter when you decide to upgrade to Xbox Series X, you’ll never have to start over from scratch.”

The retailer lists Yakuza: Like a Dragon for a release on October 23, 2020

Interestingly, a smaller Finnish retailer might have spilled the beans on the launch date of both Yakuza and the highly-anticipated next-gen console. As listed by the retailer, Yakuza: Like a Dragon launches on October 23, and with the game being a launch title for Microsoft’s console, there’s a chance that this will also be the release date of the new Xbox.

Of course, the listed date could merely be a placeholder date, but we’ve been informed that this particular retailer only puts up titles for pre-order once release date information from the publisher has been received. A screenshot of the release date listing has been included in case the retailer decides to alter the date later on.
